Our Craftsmanship

Faithful to the classical method. Precision in every detail. Handcrafted in Spain.

The quality of Pilates equipment reveals itself in its construction, its finishes and the way it responds to movement.

At ARREGON®, we preserve the dimensions, proportions and configuration of classical apparatus while refining our manufacturing processes, material selection and finishing details. Every decision serves the same purpose: to preserve the experience of the method and create carefully crafted equipment for daily professional use.

Classical Dimensions, Refined Construction

Our starting point is the traditional geometry of classical Pilates equipment.

We build on this foundation by refining joints, surfaces and component integration while respecting the function and response that define each apparatus.

The refinement lies in the details: a carefully constructed joint, a more consistent surface or a mechanism that integrates discreetly into the overall design. These details allow us to improve the finish and ease of use while preserving the character of the original equipment.

European Aluminium and Precision TIG Welding

We continue to use European-sourced aluminium alloys for our aluminium structures, rather than replacing them with stainless steel.

Working with aluminium requires precision in the preparation, alignment and welding of each joint. We use TIG welding and carefully finish the connections to achieve discreet seams and clean visual continuity between components.

Each joint receives attention both for its construction and for how it integrates into the finished apparatus.

A Surface You Can Feel

In Pilates, the finish of a surface affects the experience of using the apparatus. Where hands and feet make contact, grip matters.

We finish our aluminium components through abrasive blasting to create a consistent matte texture, reduce visual differences between pieces and achieve a coherent appearance.

Our aim is a secure, tactile feel rather than the slippery sensation that highly polished stainless steel surfaces can have. Surface texture is an essential part of that choice: we consider how each component feels and functions, alongside its appearance.

Why We Galvanise Before Forming the Tube

For our tubular assemblies, we use steel tubing formed from sheet that has already been hot-dip galvanised.

The order of manufacture makes a visible difference.

When a finished tube is hot-dip galvanised, excess molten zinc must drain from its surfaces as it leaves the bath. This can produce local build-ups, runs, rough patches and variations in colour and texture. These characteristics may be acceptable for corrosion protection, but they do not provide the consistent appearance we seek for our equipment.

Our tubing starts with steel sheet galvanised in a controlled continuous process. This allows closer control of the zinc coating’s thickness and surface appearance before the sheet becomes a tube. Cut edges and welded areas require specific attention during subsequent manufacturing.

We choose this approach for a more even starting surface, then carefully select and finish our components to achieve a consistent result.

Surface regularity matters visually and wherever adjustable components interact with the tubing. We seek a clean matte appearance and firm, controlled adjustment, faithful to the character of classical equipment.

Springs with Functional Protection

Our springs’ matte black finish serves a purpose beyond appearance.

Rather than nickel plating, we use cathodic electrocoating, also known as e-coating or cataphoresis. This process deposits a protective coating electrically, followed by thermal curing to form an adherent film.

It is particularly useful for complex shapes such as springs, where consistent coverage matters. The coating creates a protective barrier against corrosion while providing an even, low-glare finish.

Nickel plating can also protect steel, but it uses a metallic layer rather than an organic protective film. We choose cathodic electrocoating for its combination of coverage, adhesion, corrosion protection and visual consistency.

The matte black appearance is the visible result of a treatment selected for its protective function.

Concealed Joinery, Clean Wooden Surfaces

We pay particular attention to the integration of joints in the wooden bases of our Reformers and Cadillacs.

Internal joinery and concealed fixings keep the exterior surfaces clean, without exposed assembly screws or wooden plugs used to hide them.

These construction methods require additional preparation, precise fitting and careful assembly. That work preserves the continuity of the wood and gives each apparatus the presence of a carefully finished piece of furniture.

The same attention extends throughout our assemblies: connections are designed to integrate discreetly wherever their function allows.

Fluidity in Every Movement

We consider how each component moves and how the person interacts with the apparatus.

We refine adjustments, contact surfaces and mechanism integration to support fluid movement and comfortable use while respecting the original function of each piece of equipment.

That precision can be felt when moving the carriage, adjusting a bar or changing position. Our goal is equipment that feels natural to use and remains faithful to the demands of classical Pilates.

Wheel Mounts Designed by ARREGON®

We design our visible wheel mounts to integrate with the lines of each apparatus.

Their shape, proportions and finish receive the same attention as the main components. We consider their appearance alongside their mechanical role, ensuring that even these smaller elements contribute to the coherence of the finished equipment.

A Discreet Signature

We position our branding inside the apparatus, keeping its presence deliberately discreet.

We want each studio to retain its own identity. Our equipment should earn recognition through the experience it delivers: the feel of the materials, the precision of the adjustments and the care taken with every finish.

We believe that satisfied clients and carefully crafted equipment are the strongest expression of our work.

Our signature is in the details.
